Paul O’Connell signs up to Limerick’s biggest ever clean-up

Paul O’Connell officially launched the sign-up process for the Team Limerick Clean-up (TLC), today 14th January at the University of Limerick. The campaign is inviting individuals, local residents associations, sporting organisations and businesses to get together throughout Limerick City and County on Good Friday, 3rd April and collect litter in their local areas. Sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund, the campaign is partnered by Mr Binman, who will be responsible for collecting all the refuse on the day. Media sponsors supporting the initiative include Limerick Leader and Live 95FM. Paul was joined by Helen O’Donnell from the JP McManus Fund where they both signed up to TLC through the campaign’s website: www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie.

Commenting at the sign-up, Paul O’Connell said: “We are asking people to come out on the morning of Good Friday for a few hours to help make Limerick a cleaner and better place. It’s going to be a great event and hopefully our kids will participate as well and learn about the importance of keeping their city tidy and having pride in their place. Getting involved is quick and simple – sign up at www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie. or telephone 061 496200 to find out more. Information packs and clean-up kits will be available for everyone who registers and by getting involved in the very first year, you will become part of history!”
